Project Jabez Description

Project Jabez

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,
‘Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast,
and that thine hand might be with me,
and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!’
And God granted him that which he requested.
1 Chronicles 4:10 KJV

Because we believe strongly in the power of prayer, we have launched Project Jabez at Glendale Adventist Academy. Using the prayer of Jabez as our inspiration, we request God’s blessing on the school, the students and their families, and all the faculty and staff; we ask that God increase our spheres of influence for Him beyond classroom walls into our families and our communities; and, we pray that He be with us wherever we go, keeping us from harm.

As part of the project, we divided the students at GAA into groups. Each week, we pray for the school in general, but also specifically pray for the students in that week’s group. To let students know that we are praying purposely for them, we send them a digital Prayer Card.

If you would be interested in becoming involved with this project, we would love to hear from you. One way to support us is to join us for 10-15 minutes each Monday morning before regular classes (starting at 7:45 a.m.) to pray for the students of the week. Another way you can become involved is to join us as a Prayer Partner—our partners receive the weekly digital Prayer Card and a list of the week’s students.

If you would like to join us, please email Project Jabez at [email protected] to tell us who you are and how you would like to become involved. If you would like to receive the weekly card and list of student names, be sure to add [email protected] to your email address book or safe list.

Please check the "Home"' page for list of weekly list of students to remember in prayer for the week and for the weekly "Prayer Card". You may check the "Photo Album" for previous prayer cards.
