Welcome Back

Dear Parents and Students,

As we start the 2020-2021 school year, there are a few things that we would like to make you aware of.

• Because of CoVid-19, we are reopening virtually as a school on Monday, August 24, 2020, through distance learning.

• Your teachers will contact you to provide an orientation for your class. Please be on the lookout for the email from your teachers.

• We are ready to re-open for on-campus, in-person instruction as soon as Los Angeles County is off the CDPH Watchlist for 14 days consecutively.

• Registration is on-going for the high school for the week of August 17-19. Please follow the order of appearance on campus for that purpose.

• Financial aid is available to those who indicate a need. Please call the finance office to pick up the Worthy Student Fund application form to be considered.

• A date for a virtual town hall meeting for questions and answers will be announced soon. Please be on the lookout for that announcement.

Thank you for choosing Glendale Adventist Academy for your Christian education needs. We are here to serve you and be a haven of rest for your family as we all navigate the challenges of CoVid-19.

No Tuition Increase 2020-2021

August 6, 2020

Dear Parent/Guardian:

I pray this email finds you and your loved ones in good health.

We know that many families have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Finance Committee of the Glendale Adventist Academy at their recent meeting voted to rescind the increase in tuition rates scheduled for the 2020-2021 school year. If you have made payments for the current school year based on the previous tuition rates, your student’s account will be credited for the difference.

The school’s revenue has also been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The current tuition rate does not represent the full cost of education here at Glendale Adventist Academy. We urge you to consider making additional contributions that will be used to supplement the families that are unable to make full tuition payments. You can send a check to the School’s office or give online at You may also make a regular contribution each month when you are paying the tuition of your children or wards.

Thank you for your amazing support of Glendale Adventist Academy and of Christian education.

For Administration

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we come to the very last day of this school year, we the Administration, faculty, and staff of Glendale Adventist Academy would like to extend our profound gratitude, applause, and best wishes to you all for your unflinching support for the school during the most trying months of this school year. Covid-19 changed the way we did school, and you stood right beside us as we tried hard to navigate those stormy waters. Our students, your children or wards, also cooperated with the system and made it possible to get to this side of the story. We made it!

Due to CDC guidelines for schools regarding physical distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19, we are developing a strategy that will be unfolded for implementation for the 2020/2021 school year. We are in the process of cost analysis and planning, and we will be sharing more details with you within the next few weeks.

Kindly mark Tuesday, August 18, on your calendar. That is our first day back to school for the 2020/2021 school year. It promises to be a grand opening after being gone for so long. We are counting on your continued support in recruiting new students and families to join the ranks of our elementary and high school programs.

Once again thank you for all your support and prayers. We wish you a pleasant and enjoyable summer break.
